Another aspect of the Salinas Valley "Salute to Agriculture" is an afternoon inter-farm challenge, as farm workers race in laying sprinkler pipes, backing up an out-house, and packing fresh lettuces. Held at The Farm's fields, with corn on the cob for spectators following the event.
