75th Annual Merienda

The Merienda recreates the joyous and carefree fiestas of Monterey's early Mexican settlers, known as Los Californios, with a barbecue, folkloric dancing, and live music. The California Mission Art of Jo Mora

The incredibly versatile artist Jo Mora created illustrations, paintings, books and sculpture; his most famous piece is the massive bronze cenotaph of Father Junipero Serra. This new exhibition at Carmel Mission's museum highlights the sketchbook he carried during a horseback tour of California missions in 1903.
