More Reasons to Come Soon

Two very different, but equally stunning exhibits are on display this Spring. From surreal local art to masterpieces dating back to the early 1900’s you can find it at the Monterey Museum of Art.

The first exhibit is part of the biannual series, MontereyNow, which is dedicated to art created by working local artists. This time around, local painter, Andrea Johnson is front and center displaying her surreal, nature inspired works. Andrea’s paintings will be on display January 18th to March 25th, 2007.

Art and history collide when the highly praised Artists at Continent’s End: The Monterey Peninsula Arts Colony, 1875-1907 exhibit is displayed this February. The collection of paintings being displayed highlights works from widely recognized Californian artists who were involved in the creation of our regional art style. Artists at Continent’s End will be displayed from February 10th to April 29th, 2007.
