Carmel Valley Grapevine Express

Plan an indulgent Carmel Valley wine trek with Monterey-Salinas Transit's Carmel Valley Grapevine Express. The service picks up and drops passengers at points in downtown Monterey, along Carmel Valley Road and in the Carmel Valley Village, home to several wine tasting rooms. Cost is just $4.50 per person for an all-day ticket, with stops every hour between 10 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

A Year of Exploring at the Monterey Bay Aquarium

The Monterey Bay Aquarium's Oceans 2006: A Year of Exploring features fun events, activities and an official "explorer's passport" for kids. Throughout the year, passport holders collect stamps at designated events and venues, and complete special downloadable activities. At year's end, prizes and an exclusive event await those holding completed passports.
